How to export your SSL certificate to a .pfx file for migration or safe-keeping

Windows 2003 Server

1. In IIS, right-click on your website and select "Properties".

2. Click on the "Directory Security" tab

3. Click on "Server Certificate" - this will launch the Web Server Certificate Wizard.

4. Click "Next".

5. Select "Export the current certificate to a .pfx file" and click "Next".

6. Enter the name and path for the .pfx file you wish to create, and click "Next".

7. Enter a password for the file if prompted, and then click Next.

8. Check the details and press "Next" to create your .pfx file, and then "Finish"

9. You can now download the .pfx file for safe-keeping.
