How to Access phpMyAdmin on Windows Plesk and Linux cPanel
This guide explains how to access phpMyAdmin on modern hosting platforms. Helm is no longer used. All Windows hosting now runs on Plesk for Windows Server 2022, and Linux hosting uses cPanel.
Accessing phpMyAdmin in Plesk (Windows Hosting)
- Log in to your Plesk Control Panel.
- Go to Websites and Domains.
- Click Databases.
- Locate your MySQL database.
- Click phpMyAdmin to open the interface.
Your phpMyAdmin login is not your Plesk username. You must use the database username and password created when making the database.
To create a new MySQL database user:
- In Plesk, go to Databases.
- Select your database.
- Click Add New Database User.
- Enter a username and password.
- Save the new user.
Accessing phpMyAdmin in cPanel (Linux Hosting)
- Log in to cPanel.
- Scroll to the Databases section.
- Click phpMyAdmin.
- Select your database from the left-hand panel.
Your login is automatic because cPanel securely authenticates database access.
Recommended Tool: HeidiSQL (Advanced Users)
While phpMyAdmin works well, we strongly recommend using HeidiSQL for a faster and more robust MySQL management experience.

Remember: Always use your database username and password, not your hosting control panel credentials.
